AMACO Master Kiln Series - HF-97 Kiln, single phase, 220/240V AC

This version of the versatile HF-97 kiln uses a 220v power source for at-home use. The kiln has 4.5 inches of insulation protecting the 3.38 cubic foot firing chamber. This insulation allows the unit to fire efficiently with low radiant temperatures making the HF-97 efficient and safe for classrooms and studios that use 220v power.

The kiln fires to cone 10, giving the unit the ability to produce a variety of projects, from earthenware to porcelain and other glazing works. The firing chamber walls contain the high-caliber Kanthal element wires at 14 gauge. Deep recessed grooves house the wires and the wires are easily removable.

The exterior of the kiln is protected by 1/8 inches of welded steel frames in the back, 11-gauge welded steel frames in the front and 18-gauge steel in the shells overall, making the HF-97 extremely durable.

The unit’s lid is backed with refractory materials for better heat retention. The ceramic fiber rope that supports the lid forms a solid seal, and the lid itself is spring-balanced.

The user may choose to control the unit with either the Select Fire^TM computer controller or the Kiln-Sitter/Limit Timer plus Pyrometer.
