Zeitgeist: Addendum—Social Pathology (Enhanced DVD)

This film opens with a quote from John Adams (1735-1826), "There are two ways to conquer and enslave a nation. One is by the sword, the other is by debt."  John Perkins, Chief Economist for Chas T. Main Inc., and author of the book Confessions of an Economic Hitman continues from where John Adams left off. Perkins explains how privileged countries loaned money to underprivileged countries and when unable to pay the money back, the underprivileged are refinanced under certain provisions, including agreeing to requests from privileged countries, specifically the United States. These demanding requests come in the form of corporate favors, such as access to natural resources and political support. This is accomplished through financial and corporate systems. Perkins uses several true examples of how this corrupt system has enslaved entire countries. Watch this film to learn about the World Bank and the coups, assassinations and crises which are used to control and dominate international markets.
