Designing for the User (Enhanced DVD)

There's no doubt that children are typically more technically savvy than their parents and grand parents. The South Korean technology company Samsung realized this was causing an issue for older people who were unsure of how to utilize all of the features on their devices. Samsung commissioned a core group of specialists to investigate why older people were having such difficulty. They concluded that older people lacked the tech skills to go online and find out more about their devices. Instead they were expecting a comprehensive instruction manual. Samsung began to develop packaging that doubled as an instruction manual to address the issue. The DVD also examines a company that manufactured a bike for children, but built it to adult proportions
