Functionality: Music for Stage and Screen Video (DVD)
How does music effect the drama and mood onstage and onscreen? The answer is that a well written piece of music placed at certain time can greatly influence all the drama and mood onstage and onscreen. This twenty minute long DVD program analyzes two music pieces and their influence in stage productions and movies. One piece is a selection from the musical "A Midsummer Night's Dream", called "Heart of the Wood" by Howard Goodall and Charles Hart. The other piece shown in this program is a theme from a TV movie about Hans Christian Anderson titled "Medieval March" by Debbie Wiseman. This is an exceptional reference tool for music students, film theme composers in the making, musical writers, and film students.
