Computer and Information Technology: STEM Careers in Two Years (Enhanced DVD)
In the IT industry it is not all about working with computers. Working with people can be a rewarding and important part of the IT industry, and it is a major requirement. Eric Wellington is the dean of the Business and Computer Information System school at Delaware County Community College. He offers his insight throughout the program about the IT industry and its vocational side. Three IT workers are profiled in the program and they make good salaries in the industry after just two years of training. A help desk administration named Bob is profiled, and he works for Swiss Farms, a retail company. Mike works for AWeber Communications as a system administrator. Job works for Sungard Availability Services as a network engineer. They describe the path of their job search which led to financial and professional rewards. The program demonstrates that there are several high quality IT careers that can be obtained with a two year degree. Their coworkers and managers also include their own input.
