Once school has been completed it is time to look for your dream job, but you have to determine what that is exactly before you set out. Finding out what you want to do as a career or your first job is one of the most difficult things to do in life. This program helps young people and new graduates figure out how to pick a career, how to define their goals, and how to find a great job that fits their priorities, passions, skills, and long term goals. There are various self-assessment tools that career seekers can use to figure out the best career options for them. These tools focus on several different things such as aptitude, interests, achievement and values to identify the job seeker’s top strengths and weaknesses. Occupational classification systems are also covered, and these systems are used to describe labor markets and job industries in detail. Viewers learn how to obtain letters of recommendation that highlight their past experiences and their potential, how to look for careers, completely further coursework, and more. (26 minutes)
