My experience has shown that it's easiest to form an opinion on the integrity of a business when things go wrong.After placing my order, I received email notification that the order would ship within a day or two. And it did.
The order arrived as scheduled, without delay. When I opened the shipping box, I found the stool seat to be damaged; part of the seat was broken off.
I contacted Madison Art Shop by phone to describe the damage. The woman with whom I spoke responded without hesitation: As we spoke, she made arrangements for the shipping company to pick-up the damaged stool, and a new one was ordered, to ship the next day. The damaged stool was picked up the following day; I've received email confirmation that a new one is on the road.
At this writing, I like dealing with Madison Art Shop. I would recommend them to anyone who asks.

Quick shipping and very tall when up all the way. We have a Pub table and I can sit at the table with this stool (6' tall). Only one complaint, I had to bore out on the wheel holes as it was not wide enough for the coaster. Other than that it is greatComment:
