This is a great tripod, quick and easy to set up, and sturdy. Would definitely get another one.Comment:

The Italian steel tripod easel is of a simple, efficient and rugged design. All of this is accomplished without it being unwieldy or too heavy. This easel works and works well. I can recommend it without hesitation.Comment:

I am a watercolourist, and I've used this easel for OVER 16 years! I can't say enough about how much I love this easel. It is sturdy, light weight and a great size. My only fault with it is that it is a tad too long to pack in my suitcase when I fly. It will fit in my oversize bag, but you have to break it down, and put it in kitty corner. If they could make it a 3 stage tripod that would make it a bit smaller and easier to pack. They may also have to do something to reduce the size of the tilting bracket. I do travel to teach workshops so being able to easily pack my easel is very important to me.

I bought this easel to use as a compact design to paint smaller panels, which my larger easel cant hold properly. To this end this eagle is completely USELESS! You can't spread the legs out far enough to provide stability. It can easily just tip over while in use. To add insult to injury, the legs walk themselves in as you apply a little pressure to it as you would while pressing a brush to the canvas, and instead of a tripod, you end up with in effect a mono-pod. If you want a pretty easel to 'display' some art at an exhibition it would be fine, but don't think you can paint with it!!!Comment:

This seems to be a great choice for the price. The legs are sturdy, and the weight is about right for working outside. I like the streamlined design--no extra gadgets. I was disappointed with the color; I ordered yellow, which turned out to be distinctly orange-yellow. I inquired about exchanging it, but with the cost of return shipping, and shipping on the replacement, plus a 15% "restocking fee" (!!!), it didn't seem worth it. It would be helpful to have an improved photograph of the product.Comment:

I first saw these easels in an art class and was very impressed with the quality and portability. It is exactly what I wanted for my home studio! Highly recommended.Comment:

I guess it would be nice if it was actually in my possession... after waiting for this thing to show up for two weeks now and still nothing... We already own one but lost one of the pieces that grab onto artwork (late night at a wedding)so we're getting a replacement from you guys, but two weeks and nothing...

Received the easel yesterday. Arrived in a timely manner. I have been using the easel at a studio and decided to buy one for myself because I liked it so much. It's so much easier to setup than my last portable easel.Comment:
