Daniel Greene creating art is a bit like watching Houdini. I couldn't keep my eyes off of him to see how it's done! I took it in slowly and thoughtfully, two of the important things he teaches in his process. As a pastel teacher and artist, this video has been of significant help. I highly recommend it.Comment:

If you are looking for solid instruction by a competent teacher and accomplished artist you cannot go wrong investing in Daniel E. Greene’s art DVDs. Bernard and Erin are well-organized demonstrations of Greene's approach to the portrait while Color The Daniel Greene Method does not waste a word presenting his observations and concepts of color and representing form. All of these are loaded with precise and practical information. Greene’s approach is clear, organized and described in-depth every step through each presentation.Comment:

Portrait drawing is the most informative DVD I've run across. He goes over his explanations in great detail, specially the way he maps out a face. He uses many models, females, males, children, plus examples of the old masters to make it clear for the viewer how he approaches the early stages of measuring the face, which incidentlly has been a big mystery to me for many years. Kudos to Mr. Greene for sharing his decades of experience. You will not be disappointed if accuracy and likeness are important to you.Comment:

As usual, Daniel Greene gives detailed and explicit instructions on the medium he is using. While he comments he has 3,000 pastel colors, it would have been helpful to suggest about how many colors an average pastel portrait painter would require.Comment:

Daniel Greene is absolutely the best artist AND teacher. I have seen a lot of good artists but they lacked teaching skills. Dan Greene is the most talented artist that I have ever seen. This video is well worth the money. My only question is when will there be a new oil painting video?? I am almost caught up on everything Mr. Greene has recorded. D. BaileyComment:
