He begins by covering an armature with an aluminum can, newspaper and plastic. This technique creates bulk without weight, one of many secrets shared as the tape progresses. Mr. Lucchesi's knowledge of bone and muscle is apparent as the face is formed. The model's elaborate hairstyle is balanced by adding the shoulder and shirt. The viewer is there as the fired piece is lifted from the kiln and fastened on the base. Bruno then applies the patina, explaining the effect he wishes to achieve. From bare armature to finished piece, he explains and demonstrates the techniques which have made him one of the world's most respected sculptors.
