Villagers of the Sierra de Gredos: Disappearing World (Enhanced DVD)

Navalguijo devote their lives to raising and herding their cattle in a small community located in central Spain's Gredos Mountains that is dwindling down to be even smaller than it ever was. Every winter the Navalguio people take their cattle away from the mountainside to lower pastures that are fertile. A drought that resulted in the springtime grass getting green late in the season was a threat to Navalguijo in terms of its economic survival. Throughout this documentary villagers are shown embarking on a journey that turns out to be a very arduous one for them. This documentary helps contribute to the Disappearing World series of DVDs.
