Pigments can be produced two ways - extracted from nature (our way) or synthesized artifically (the other way). Synthetic pigments can be more harmful to the human body, so we have decided to do the right thing and use all natural pigments in our paint. Natural pigments are extracted from flowers, wood, coal, earth, and plants. They are extremely vibrant, less toxic, and more ecologically sound. These pigments may cost a little more, but we at [Sabotaz]80 think it is worth it. ************************************************************************************************************************************************* [ HOW COLORS ARE NAMED ] ************************************************************************************************************************************************* Sabotaz must get at least 3 emails a week asking how they name their colors. Most of these emails are from writers who want to know if they can get a color named after them, (you can't,) but some inquire how they name certain ones specifically. So we figured we would shed some light on the subject: RAPE YELLOW - Sabotaz gets more questions asking about this popular color than any other! The pigment used is extracted from the "Rape Flower!" Maybe you have never heard of it, so here is a photo: Just think, when you are using aerosol #1021, it's like you are spraying thousands of tiny little flowers. ANTHRACITE GREY - Ever wonder what Anthracite is exactly? Well you can sleep soundly tonight now that you have been informed that it is nothing more than a type of coal. It looks like a metorite, but is actualy nothing more than a hunk of earth. So when you pick up a can of Anthracite Grey, its like a mini coal-mine in your hand. BLOOD RED - I know what you are thinking. If Rape Yellow comes from a flower and Anthracite Grey come from coal, then where does Blood Red come from? Well, it could be illegal for us to tell you exactly how we make blood red. Lets just say don't mess with us - Punks Jump Up to Get Beat Down! |
