I'm going to say something that it seems no one else is able to say - even you: Isn't it obvious that the only reason barrack Obama is in this race is because he's black? Now I'm not taking away from any of his talents, experience or righteousness of his soul. But the fact is obvious that any white man with the exact same resume and make-up wouldn't begin to be in this race.
By the same token, I'll ask the same question of Hillary Clinton. Isn't she in this race only because she's a woman? let's imagine if Bill Clinton had an adult son living with him in the white house. This "son" was just as intelligent and just as close to bill as Hillary was. This son was involved in all of Bill's presidential duties the same as Hillary. Then this son went on to serve 1 and 1/2 terms in the senate (which he won due to his celebrity status.) Would he have gone as far as Hillary is doing in this race? I think we all know that not. Hillary is in the running simply by the force of being a woman.
Now, I personally am not a racist. I do not discriminate between the sexes either. I do not in any way feel that the pigmentation of a man's skin has any bearing on what sort of man he is. Likewise, I do not believe that the X or Y chromosome makes any difference in a person's ability to lead this nation as President. However, by the same token, I don't like reverse-racism, or reverse-discrimination. We should not have contenders for the presidency of the United States based solely on the fact that he or she is black or a woman. Obama should realize that he is running on the basis of being black and should be honest enough to back out for that alone. Hillary should realize that she is running on the basis of being a woman alone and should be honest enough to back out for that.
