The EC-55 is a small, top-loading kiln able to fire to Cone 03. With a 3.38 cu ft firing chamber, it is perfect for small to medium-sized classrooms or studios. This makes the EC-55 perfect for learning how to create custom earthenware or glass slumping projects. The low profile of the EC-55 allows it to easily accommodate limited studio space. Additionally, the EC-55 is a very safe kiln to use. The 3” insulation allows for greater efficiency and lower radiant temperature, trapping more heat inside the chamber and away from the user. The low-firing kiln also allows young artists to work with clays and glazes at lower temperatures. The spring-balanced lid makes opening and closing the kiln effortless. The optional Select Fire™ computer control offers convenience and reliability. Additionally, other optional features include Kiln-Sitter® and Limit Timer plus Pyrometer for safety and peace of mind.
