The painter and sculptor Janet D'Esopo has long been a fixture of the Puerto Rico art scene and has made a name for herself as both an art teacher and an artist. In this video, she teaches students everything from choosing the right tools to the job to completing a landscape painting. D'Esopo paints a charming landscape of Old San Juan and demonstrates several techniques in the process. There are three demonstrations included in this video to give students a well-rounded look at the processes that go into selecting a subject, choosing tools, creating the initial sketch and following up with paint. She sketches in her own garden studio as well as at the famous home of Ponce de Leon.
