Tom Jones - Watercolorist
Tom Jones is a master of the impressionist style of watercolors. Tom has been commissioned by government agencies, corporations, environmental groups, clubs, and private collectors.
Jones' art is found internationally in private and corporate collections, including commissioned paintings displayed in the Florida State Capital Building, Marriott Corporation, Walt Disney World Corporation, and the Omni Corporation. Tom's work has been featured in many books and on magazine covers as well as posters and brochures.
Tom Jones shares his passion for art and love of nature with students of varying skill levels through nationwide demonstrations, workshops, and instructional videos.
Tom Jones says,
"For many years I used the most expensive hand-made Kolinsky Sable brushes from Europe. A one inch flat costing over $200 had to be replaced every two years. My students wished to use my brush, but couldn't afford or didn't want to pay that much for a brush. So, I searched for a brush that responds as well as the expensive hand made Kolinsky Sable brushes, for both my students and myself.
"I found it when I was introduced to the Black Velvet™ brushes from Silver Brush Limited. I have recommended these brushes to hundreds of art students and all agree they are the finest watercolor brushes they have ever used and at a fraction of the cost of others. Many students say their painting has improved considerable with Black Velvet™ brushes "
Tom Jones and Silver Brush have developed two watercolor brush sets which offer an ideal selection of our Superb Black Velvet™ brushes. For complete contents list and details, click on image.
Included in this set are a variety of round, liner, square wash, flat wash and jumbo round brushes. The very popular square wash brushes offer an extra tool in the beveled plastic handles. They are perfect for separating the sheets of paper on watercolor blocks and for special scraping and highlighting techniques.
