The Easel that I bought from your company is the perfect solution for my painting needs. I love the overall appeal of the wood and so do my friends. The instructions given were very clear so therefore my easel was very simple to operate. It is exactly what I needed and wanted.

The craftmenship and finish is tops. I have owned mayebe seven different easels covering all major brands, including Soltech and Julien. All have have their pluses and minuses, from splitting to to cracked cast parts. My easels go to work several times each week in all weather conditions and will last a year and a half or so before I have to start patching them up. I am looking forward to using this easel just because it is so beautifully crafted. I have learned that great crafting and longevity are related. I know that I will have to go through and retighten the screws with glue, along with other routine maintanance, but I have never owned an easel that is as aesthetically pleasing to look at as this one.

The build quality, fit and finish is better than any plein air easel I've seen. Also the hardware is of better quality. However I found it fuzzy to set up: rather than simply lift open the top as in a french easel, you have numerous parts to fuzz with as you swing the palatte holder into position, and then you have to tighten them all down. Then the latches that you need lock it all in to place don't close well, so I had to fuss with them for several minutes. Also It does not simply open to a good sitting height the way a french easel does, by just keeping the leg extensions up. Wanted to love it, but could not live with these issues.

Very well designed plein air easel. It's a great solution for someone who thinks the regular Julian easels are too heavy and the half size is too small. My only concern is the bumper on the bottom of the leg is tiny and I wonder if the foot is going to get chewed up. It's rocky here.....time will tell.

Well, it was this or a plein air easel with tripod. I feel i made the right choice grabbing the sienna horizon. THis is so nice as a package, talk about a 4 n 1 deal. You have solvent container, palette, brushes, paints...etc. It's not that big to carry anywhere and it's sturdy. Not to mention you can paint big size canvasses which is one main reason I got this. The craftsmanship is really well done, they really know how to put it together. Overall this is a great easel for the price. One con that I might say is that it's a bit heavy, so you might want to invest in a should strap. Other than that it gets 5 stars.

Looks good but the paint box is unstable and can fall
off .... and did a few times. Had to bungie cord it to
easel.

This is, by far, the most well thought out and designed plain air easel I have ever used. Move over Julian, you have just been replaced. The palette doesn't get blown off, my solvent is no longer forgotten at home, a paper towel holder, and if you don't like where the paper towels are hanging in the picture, you can attach the holder in a number of different places. I absolutely adore this easel. Beautifully made too - it is a piece of artwork in itself! Highly recommended!

The easel construction is good and the design is sound but the Quality Control leaves a bit to be desired. Firstly, several of the brass fittings were turning green and two of the magnets that hold the birch palette panels in place were missing. Some one should really spend a minute or two looking these over before sending them out because there are so many pieces that make up this easel.

This is a lovely, high quality easel. It is obvious that a lot of thought went into the design-they thought of everything.
