This kiln is 22 and 3/4 inches in diameter (including control box) and has an 18 inches deep firing chamber. It rests on an eight inch stand. Its optional heavy-duty, spring loaded hinge makes it is easy to open and close. This three inch thick firebrick kiln gets the job done; it fires to cone 10. To secure the lid while opening and closing, it comes with a two position steel bar. Also, it can be purchased with an EZ lift. It has four Kanthal A-1 elements.
