The 73" medium-duty stretcher bar provides an economical solution for artists who make their own canvas-stretching frames. Constructed from only the best specimens of white pine, heated in kiln ovens and splice-bonded for maximum strength, the back edge of each warp-resisting bar is fashioned onto a rounded rise. This serves to maintain a 1/2" distance between bar and canvas, resulting in a smooth, friction-free painting surface. Working on such a taut surface wards off the annoying ghost-impressions that mar an other-wise perfect painting.
Measures - 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" x 73".
